Hey hey, everybody!
What do you know, it’s Sunday already. Time does indeed fly.
I plan on spending the rest of my weekend creating video pins and working on an (admittedly enjoyable) guest post because I’ve been procrastinating for ages and really can’t put it off any longer.
I also still haven’t started writing my Blogmas content, despite the realization that I really should get a move on if I want to see any traffic growth.
Which I absolutely do!
When I first dreamt up my blog in my mind, I wanted to focus primarily on luxury and couture, because it’s what I’m most drawn to.
I love the detail and execution that goes into making the coveted, exclusive pieces that have people the world over swooning.
It’s a magical process!
And it’s also kind of the reason I wanted to be a fashion blogger in particular.
I’ve decided to write more in my natural style from now on before I have too many posts published.
I want to be able to speak to you like an old friend and really just have fun with it, you know?
And I want you to have fun too!
So, (drumroll, please) today’s post is going to reflect just that.
We’re going to put the spotlight on the incredibly talented Lirika Matoshi!
I’m a little late to the party, but you can be damn sure I’m dressed for it.
The Strawberry Dress And Other Lirika Matoshi Magic
The Kosovo-based designer and her magical, otherworldly pieces have been blowing up recently due to the popularity of her “Strawberry Dress” that took the world by storm.
The dress first gained popularity on TikTok in July of this year and has since become one of the most coveted dresses of the year, beloved by A-list celebrities like Tess Holliday, social media influencers and the girl next door.
When asked why she thought the Strawberry Dress was so popular, Matoshi replied that it “reminds people of better times”, and that most of her designs were inspired by her childhood and the things that make her happy. It’s a celebration of life, past nostalgia and a brighter future in the wake of one of the worst global crises since the Great Depression.
Matoshi’s pieces are gaining popularity across wider audiences than ever – why, you might even recognize her Pastel Organza Crop Top, worn by BLACKPINK’s Jennie in their “Ice Cream” music video, featuring Selena Gomez!
But Matoshi’s magic doesn’t stop there!
Here’s my top pick of her designs.

I think the reason we’re so obsessed with these pieces is the sheer freedom they convey. The freedom to wear something extraordinary without worrying about conformity.
It’s fashion at its boldest and most unapologetic.
It’s the true joy of raiding your mother’s closet as a child for an impromptu fashion show.
And it’s hope in a dress.
I’ve decided to wear a Matoshi original paired with a YSL Kate Wallet for my first public appearance once I’ve “made it”.
What’s your favourite Lirika Matoshi design?
I’d love to know!
